What do you like the most about DYRT?
This should be an illegal question because there is so many things that I love about DYRT and to pick only one is unfair! I like what DYRT stands for, service. Ultimately, we are here to serve other people and to do it humbly and with love; two amazing characteristics that Jesus has taught us. To be able to answer the calling of sharing His love and His Gospel is very special to me. I also love how it brings people together, having DYRT as my community is a gift I cherish. They are my brothers and sisters; a second family in which we unite to share God’s love and mercy!
I lead prayer during our weekly DYRT meetings, choose a person for a monthly reflection, encourage staffers to attend daily Mass, Adoration, or any event that will nourish our prayer life. I also will be praying for staffers thought out the year and I’m there as extra support for them if they need it.
I’m an introvert who loves to read! I’m usually quiet but get to know me and you’ll want me to stop talking! I absolutely love dogs and I constantly want to hug one if I ever see one walk by. I love my family, they are my support system for when times get tough and my laughs for the rest of the times. I want to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, then plan to go do missionary work for three years. After that I would like to return to school where I will complete my Master’s degree, I eventually want to be therapist at a women’s center.
