COVID-19 has brought many challenges to our world, including limiting socialization and communal opportunities. Amidst these hardships, we have been granted the ability per the Diocese of Lubbock to host students in our beautiful John Saleh Catholic Student Center beginning the Fall 2020 Academic Semester. Part of this exception does include limitations on our operations, such as being unable to provide meals within the Student Center due to masks having to be removed. Some of our students rely on our food programs such as Dollar Dinner and Dinner & a Rosary in order to receive regular meals so as to remain healthy in mind and in spirit while pursuing their academic career.
Seeing this problem, our Alumni Coordinator, Elizabeth Campo, sought to remedy this situation by providing a program for students to receive meals when they are needed. In keeping with Mr. Saleh's vision for a nationally preeminent student center, we have created the Fishes and Loaves program to provide for the nutritional needs of our students. Any donations will go directly towards providing for students requesting help with food during these pressing times.
