Who is your patron saint, and why?:
My patron saint is Michael the Archangel. He is the patron saint of soldiers, police, and physicians.
What makes your experience as a Catholic Medical Student unique?
Studying medicine through the lens of Catholic Christianity yields important insight into ethical dilemmas of medical practice as well as the responsibilities and limits of the physician. Additionally, I find that attending Mass is a great source of comfort and grace which helps me live without excessive stress.
More about me:
When I am not studying the marvels of the human body, I conduct research on post-surgical biofilm-associated bacterial infections. My wife is also a medical student, and we hope to practice medicine and raise a family in Houston after graduation.
